I row them at a little over eight knots. Here’s a super-secret weight-loss technique I’ve figured out: at lunchtime, take an hour off to row these 7 n.mi. Then shower and go back to work. By replacing a meal eaten out of tradition rather than hunger with the powerful oxygenation of rowing, one loses weight [fat] faster. And feels much more productive with all those BDNFs in the afternoon.
(Yes, I am a booster for the metric system everywhere, except on the water, where I’m a traditionalist: nautical miles, knots, and fathoms.)
