Playground Smear
This image is a mystery to me — I’m trying to figure out how that smear-effect happened. I have assumed that it could not have happened when the shutter was open, since this camera has such a fast one-speed shutter, and the scene behind the smear is crisp. So I’m guessing it happened sometime after the frame was exposed, either in-camera or when it was being developed. Even stranger, it seems neither frame on either side of this one was affected. Unless… is it possibly an extremely strange variant on plastic-lens sun-flare?
Do you have any ideas or experience with this??
Luckily, I like it! However, it this had been an ‘important’ picture, it might have been a disaster. (But probably, the odds of taking an ‘important’ picture with this camera are pretty low.)
Part of my ongoing series of shots from this little playground.
