Gallbladder
Image by National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Gallstones are hard crystals that may form in the gallbladder, a small pear-shaped organ located on the right side of the abdomen, under the liver. The gallbladder helps the body digest foods by storing and releasing bile into the small intestine. Bile, a liquid made in the liver, has bile salts and other substances that help break down fats so they can be digested.

ACTOS is a once-daily oral prescription medication that, with diet and exercise, has been shown to be effective for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. ACTOS helps control blood sugar levels in your body by reducing insulin resistance—a condition in which your body’s cells don’t respond to a hormone (called insulin) that allows them to turn blood sugar into energy.
