From the ferry port walk straight ahead and cross the street and you’re at the the Çarşı, the main shopping street in Karşıyaka. As you walk down the street you’ll find jewelers, designer clothes and fast food joints. If you wonder down the side streets you’ll find cheaper clothes, local food and used book stores (some have English books, but the selection will be slim). At the end of the Çarşı is a subway station you can use to get to other parts of town. If you’re taking the ferry back, there’s a good restaurant above the ferry where you can have a drink and watch the boats come and go.
